I have never even been to Los Angeles...but I sure would like to in the very nearest future. Seems like a whole other world.

When I was in London last I ate a yummy lunch at this interesting arty and gorgeously designed cafe located in the Royal Academy of Arts. If you are ever in passing you should definitely take a break and have a yummy cappuccino with a colorful macaroon or a salad of the day served in a fun white chinese take-away box...or just drop in to admire the gorgeous design. I love love love the books pasted on the wall with their bookmark ribbons hanging and all the pages fanned out. The eyeglasses chandelier is ridiculous...as well as the gorgeous hot magenta color of the wall (one of my absolute favoritest colors in the entire universe). I wish I had brought along my own camera to take lots of pictures... I guess I will just have to return to London real soon.

This artist, Liz Conlon, actually found me on flickr first, commenting about how much she likes my work. But I think her work is equally adorable, and thought I should share. This little gouache painting is my favorite. The yellow color is really interesting and finish is wonderful...they look like they are made of satin.

I love love love Jenny Mörtsell's work for NK...the largest and most glamorous department store in Sweden.
I want to do a vegetable series too. Coming soon...

I discovered this gorgeous photo on flickr just now and had to share. I love the collage set up and how wonderfully all the random objects work together. I get a real feel for the style of this lady...very sophisticated and simple, and intelligent, and feminine, and really interesting. She likes to read and dream in a secret garden and jot poems and quiet thoughts down in her little notebook with her pretty yellow floral pen. She takes a long time to set up her perfect photos with lots of pretty atmospheric lighting by turning the various knobs of her vintage camera and flips through an indie magazine for inspiration.

This is just gorgeous. I can imagine this image as a really large poster framed in a simple white frame hanging in the entrance to a ballet studio. I love how the lavender is sprinkled around the shoes.

This one's got a bit of a modern twist too!
