What's in my Grocery Bag?

Since my What's in my Bag illustrations have been so popular (Thanks Matchbook!) I thought it was time to take them in another direction too.  I've brainstormed a few new ideas but I must credit the boyfriend with this great grocery idea though. (Thanks Johan! Heart you!) 

So introducing What's in my Grocery bag illustrations! yay! All the foodies rejoice!

This week features a quick luxury pasta dish...

Pappardelle with gruyere, lemon zest, chives, butter and truffle oil.

 Boil pasta al dente according to instructions. Once strained throw in a pad of butter plus a little salt and pepper to taste. Placed in serving bowl. Grate over a generous amount of gruyere cheese and lemon zest. Clip in a few chives and drizzle with a bit of truffle oil.

This is a gorgeously luxurious meal, great for a romantic dinner for two or an extra nice treat for one.

I feel like I'm really getting into the Autumn mood whole heartedly. From obsessing over the crisp gorgeous weather, smiling at every colorful leaf I see, getting my boots polished, and stocking up on hearty recipes to cozy up to. These four look especially yummy!

Here in Stockholm there is already a chill in the air. It really is Fall and I love it!

BLACK

Since I moved to Sweden I've been kind of anti the color BLACK. Swedes wear and decorate with way too much black and white in my opinion, it's almost hilarious. This is especially true in Stockholm. B&W is a very safe, cool look, and most Swedes want to be safe and cool. (Understandable I suppose.)

I just love color too much to have a completely color free, black and white closet or home. Most of the time I find these black and white schemes boring... but sometimes I really understand, it's undeniably chic.

Week 37

This week I spent a few days in Oslo, Norway with a friend, who was here visiting me in Stockholm from the States. Instead of just staying in Sweden the whole time we decided to go on a little adventure.  Neither of us had been to Norway before. We had a great time visiting tons of museums and trying to stay out of the rain. Oslo was a gorgeous mini city; very quiet and very expensive though.

Gotland

Hello Saturday! I can't believe you're here already, feels like I worked for 5 minutes last week. This weekend I am taking it easy at home, catching up on work, drawings, blogging, and trying to come up with new projects!

Don't you think it would be really nice to own your own bed and breakfast? Especially if it were this sweet. I love the traditional red house with white trim, and the modern country interior. It really is for sale (too bad I don't have the funds.) It also located on Swedish island and super popular summer vacation destination Gotland. I've never been, but it's real high on my Swedish to do list.

Teen Vogue

I love Pinterest! I especially love I can discover new things, even new thing about my brand. Periodically I Google or Search EmmaKisstina in different sites to see if anything interesting comes up, the other day on Pinterest something really fun popped up.

My prints were featured in a really cute room tour in Teen Vogue (say what?!) The bedroom of a sweet teen named Ella Viscardi. This feature had been posted many months ago in April or so, but makes me just as happy to discover now. What a pleasant surprise! and such a cute little space. Thanks Ella! I am just tickled pink by this. I wish I could always see where my prints find new homes. Won't you all take photos and show me? I'd just love that!
