Swedes love holidays, and vacation. Swedes will also take/make any excuse to make a holiday or draw it out as long as possible too. Even though the majority of Sweden (85% or so... including myself) is atheist we still enjoy very long christian holiday breaks, like Christmas and Easter. So all of Sweden was pretty much shut down this long weekend from Thursday afternoon (where normal working people enjoyed a half working day) through Monday. Nice huh?
The boyfriend and I packed our weekend bag and jumped on the commuter train to Nynäshamn where we enjoyed a quiet, freezing, fun, weekend with his family. I'm convinced that Spring will never arrive to Sweden. It's almost starting to get a little depressing. sigh
I of course didn't move to Sweden for the weather.... but snow in April is just sad!

Easter started on Wednesday night with a gorgeous lamb roast. |
Crumbled Greek feta and citron thyme... yum! |
On the island, you can almost feel how freezing and windy it was |
sitting on a stump after Friday's snow had finally (nearly) melted |

When will everything turn green? |

I can't wait to see how gorgeous this scene will be this summer |
visited by Bambi and his friends on the back porch |
