SMÄM

Allow me to introduce you to, new to me, really talented Swedish illustrator and designer, Sarah Woodrow aka Smäm. Aren't her works so wonderfully graphic and expressive?... plus I love how they're displayed in digital frames and clips. I think my favorite is the Queen of Hearts poster, gorgeous! But it's pretty difficult to choose.

You can visit her blog and orders prints here...

Oh Tess

images via Mairo.se

I love love love these patterns by Tess Jacobson for Mairo. Just gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! This collection in three colors (all equally beautiful I must add) are wonderfully graphic, have great texture, and that perfect amount of whimsy. I've been staring at them quite a while now, wondering how she created them. Are they painted? Is it all just digital work in Illustrator? A mix of both traditional and digital medias? I love when I can't tell how another artist does things. Makes works and products really interesting, and appealing (to me at least). I could have these pillows, or those gorgeous trays, or even walls covered in this wallpaper in my home, and never tire of them.

Klas Fahlén

I love looking at other illustrators' work. It's both inspiring and fascinating. I love seeing the differences in technique and how other's see the world. I really enjoy the minimal stylised work of Klas Fahlén, a Swedish illustrator with Agent Bauer.

Nice huh? Got a bit of a retro twist too. I love my style and all, but sometimes I wish I could switch out my style for a day or two. It would be fun to test out someone else's drawing shoes. :)

Constance

Hello Wednesday! I'm insanely busy, neck deep in a few really fun projects (a little behind on a few perhaps but otherwise doing rather well)... also got tons of orders to ship off to happy new owners, and  even going for an interesting interview in the city this afternoon. Lots of funness!

Anywho, so even though I'm a bit busy I thought I just needed to share these gorgeous illustrations by  Becca Ashby of A Constance Posey. Sometimes I get just a teensy bit jealous of fashion illustrators with fluid expressionistic lines and forms. Imagine being able to draw perfect sexy scribbles. (My scribbles certainly don't resemble any of the lines below... and merely look like scribbles.)

Oh Asia

I recently met a lovely lady named Asia Pietrzyk through the interwebs. Turns out this girlie is an insanely talented illustrator and graphic designer (like really talented... like I almost hate you a little bit talented, hehe). I just can't get enough of her work. It's so quirky and fun as well as gorgeously simple.

She makes me want to tackle Adobe Illustrator... because see, look how much quirky awesomeness you can create. I am still pretty shaky with that program and need to take my own advice and just spend time with it. Got any tips?

Dark Paper Glamour

I'm not sure if I've shown you Swedish paper artist Fideli Sundqvist's work before... but I certainly should have. I've enjoyed following her work which has recently gone from being very cutesy to glamour. She has definitely taken her work to another (DRAMATIC) level since graduating from art school, but of course still keeping her signature fun twist. I love these 3D still life works she's done for newly opened Stockholm located restaurant 1900. I know you know I'm a sucker for all thing pretty and pastel, but the work and craftsmanship behind these dark dramatic works are just stunning and impressive. They look like dark still life oil paintings from centuries past. I also adore the sweet bug details as well.

Have a look!

Love Mae

This is my 500th post! crazy huh?! what on earth have I posted so much about? dunno, let's continue...

Totally in love with this super sweet Australian company, Love Mae. They create the nicest fabric decals I've ever seen... I really like the decals for containers and tins. The only word to describe these decals would have to be cute cute cute.

Major cuteness huh?!

J'Adore Garance!

I love love love Garance Doré! I love her photos (they're so real and fresh and pretty) and I love her illustrations (can you say chic?) and I love love love her quirky fashion stories and tell alls; she is hilarious. She gets me every time. I also love how she is totally not one of those stuck up fashion snobs either. The only thing I don't get is her love for boyfriend and fellow photographer Scott. (He gives me major heeby-geebies for some strange reason.) But that's none of my beeswax.

And then of course she has that perfect chic, cool, sophisticated, French, classic, not trying too hard style. Lets take a look at a recent shoot of her style stapels she did with The Coveteur.

And guess what?! It's already Friday! How did this happen?
