Today the Boyfriend Johan and I are celebrating 5 wonderful years together. And when I say wonderful they have seriously been a breeze and have flown by soooo fast. I've definitely met my match. This time 5 years ago on a very cold snowy day (no snow this year yet) we met in Gamla Stan and had a lovely long lunch together. I'm not sure if it was love at first sight... but I certainly knew something.
This past weekend we decided to celebrate with a very indulgent dinner at Le Rouge. We enjoyed tripe and escargot starters, a gorgeous bottle of red wine, the most tender filé of beef pour deux entrée we've ever tasted and lovely classic french desserts to finish off the meal. It was definitely a meal to remember, plus we were stuffed for the rest of the weekend. We usually get so disappointed when we eat out, but there was no way of making this meal any better... except the faint worthy price tag. (We spent the equivalent of what we spend on groceries for half a month on just this one meal... eek!)
Since these past 5 years have been so great, I can't wait to see what the next 5 years bring... or 50 years!

Happy five years to you both!! I've been married to my husband for five and a half years and it's gone by so fast. I think when it's meant to be that's what happens. Every day should feel like you're still on your honeymoon!! :) I hope you two have 50 years in your future. It certainly sounds like it!! xo
