Pattern Making

This weekend I spent a lot of quality time with my new computer and Photoshop C6. It's all fancy and new and even though I've used Photoshop for many years, it's always a little bit confusing when they update. At first I hated it, now I think the new layout and features are just great! Go Adobe!

I decided to start work on a new personal project that I've been dreaming about for months... pattern making. During these months I have been collecting tons of inspiration for patterns (find them here...) also watched many youtube video tutorials to learn tips and tricks for making perfect patterns, and written down countless ideas for my very own patterns. I'm not quite sure what to do with these patterns yet... but I can figure that part out later (dream dream dream). Right now I'm just pleased as punch that they match up perfectly and turned out pretty darn cute.

This one is called bits and bobbles...

I think this would be great for gift wrap or a fun fabric for a little girl's room... or maybe even a sweet tiny little dress or skirt. I had so much fun spending time on this, even though I messed up a few times and had to nearly start from the beginning. It's all about trial and error. :)

Sarah: Photoshop is super easy once you learn the basics... but then again there is tons one can do with the program and I only know a fraction for these things. I'll have to do some sort of tutorial one day about how my works are created.

Charity: What a great idea! I hadn't thought of sheets :)
