2016 Update! Books and more!

Hello Monday!

Long time no see. (I hate when people say that.) Where have I been? What have I been up to? Tons and tons of drawing is what I've been doing! It's been a really exciting process, and I'm so happy that I can finally share what I've been working on.

Since Formex in August I have been in contact with Swedish book publisher Pagina Förlag (who actually discovered my work there, yay!) They have commissioned me to illustrate 3 books, which is very exciting! One love themed postcard book, one fashion themed poster book, and an adult coloring book. I was over the moon about this project and worked from September to February on these illustrations, especially for the coloring book as I had to create 96 originals. I don't think I've drawn this much in my life. I think I might have even gotten better at it too.

My postcard book Love Notes and my poster book Fashionista are both already available for sale (links below) and my coloring book will be released at the end of the month.

Since I've been working so many months on these coloring book illustrations, drawing nearly everyday all day, I almost feel at a lost as what to do now that I'm finished. I've been drawing a few new patterns for my Spoonflower fabric shop and created new phone case designs for my Casetify shop. I also need to start work on more fashion illustrations for my Etsy shop. But what I'm really itching to do is start working on a second coloring book (just in case the first one goes well, I'd love to have one at the ready.)

So now you know what I've been up to all these months. I hope you're as excited for my books as I am!

If you are interested and located in Sweden my books are available for purchase on Bokus.
And if you are international you can find them in my Etsy shop.

Blogger What's in my Bag: Ashley of Sugar and Cloth

Hello Saturday!

Where have I been? I have no idea and I'm not going to even attempt to make excuses because there are none. Let's talk about this pretty illustration instead.

This year I wanted to bring back my Blogger What's in my Bag series but instead of forcing myself to feature someone every month I've been really selective. This month I was so tickled that Ashley of Sugar and Cloth not only replied to my email but actually wanted to be a part of my series. Woo hoo! So here are her picks for her What's in my Bag illustration. Pretty nice right?!

If you'd like to take a peek at all of the lovely ladies I've featured in my series head on over to my Blogger What's in my Bag Pinterest board.

Also if you'd like one for yourself you can pop over to my Etsy shop and find my Custom What's in my Bag illustration.

New Illustrations

 Hello Wednesday!

Since getting my new big fat square sketchbook I've been prompted to draw all the time, which is great because for awhile I didn't draw very much. (What ever works!) So in my free time I've been drawing tons of new illustrations both for fun and for my shop illustrations and other products.

First up an illustration inspired by popular French pharmacy products. I think this print would be perfect for any bathroom. The French seem to really know what they are doing in the beauty department. Anyone else a fan of French pharmacy products?

I was looking through my shop and noticed that I don't have any prints with sunglasses but one. This had to be rectified right away, and here is my new sunglasses print! I think I'd also like to do another version in the future with different colors and patterns on the glasses. Wouldn't that be fun?!

How sweet! Please head over to Little Big Bell to get a closer look at all of the items featured in the illustrations. I especially loved drawing all of the super cute, colorful and fun Kate Spade and Ban.do goodies.

How I started EmmaKisstina Video & New Illustrations in Shop

Hello Friday!

Been awhile since I popped in to say hello, but here I am and I have another video and new illustrations to show off.

Let's start off with the video. The other day I spent far too much time talking to myself a.k.a. the camera trying to figure out how to tell the story of how EmmaKisstina was started. There was so much stuff that I could talk about, but this time around I decided to talk about going to art school and then transitioning into what I do today. Hopefully you find it interesting even though it's a little bit long.

And then I've recently been on a drawing kick. I've sketched and inked about 6 new illustrations. Plus I've been planning even more. I have so many ideas I need to get out on paper. I haven't made new work in a long time as I've been focusing on other projects, so it will be nice to get lots of new illustrations into the shop.

What do you think of my two latest illustrations?

EmmaKisstina Turns 7!

 Hello Wednesday!

Today isn't any regular day because today is EmmaKisstina's 7th birthday! I can't believe that 7 years ago today I opened up my EmmaKisstina Etsy store which in turn changed my life forever. (That sounds dramatic but it's true.) These past 7 years have definitely been the best 7 of my life (well at least so far!) I'm so proud of how far I have come personally as well as how far my company has come and all of the amazing support I've gotten from customers all over the globe. In the next coming 7 years (and more) I hope to continue to grow this company and create even more gorgeous items that you'll adore. I already can't wait to show you what's in store for next year!

As a huge thank you I'm offering 25% off your entire order in my EmmaKisstina Etsy shop all day today with
code: 7BDAYWISHES

To celebrate I bought myself the prettiest of cakes, a Swedish Princess Cake, and enjoyed it with lots of sparkle and great friends this weekend. I think it's important to celebrate the small accomplishments in life... and definitely thought it was fun to get all dolled up and have an excuse to buy a cake!

Cheers to EmmaKisstina's first 7 years, and another cheers to 7 + plus amazing years to come!

Blogger What's in my Bag: Rosaria of Arscity

Hello Wednesday!

It's blogger What's in my Bag day, hooray! This week's illustration features Italian architect blogger Rosaria of Arscity. I adore her classy sophisticated style.... just look at that bag! I'm so glad to be featuring another fellow European since I've been featuring lots of American ladies lately (not that that's a bad thing.) I'd love to go even more international, do you know of any lovely Australian, Asian or European bloggers you definitely think I should feature?

In other news, Johan and I booked a trip to Italy at the end of November. For my 30th birthday Johan said he'd treat me to a romantic long weekend in Italy this Fall. Since summer is over it was time to plan our trip and I've had to much fun researching all of the big cities. In the end I decided on Rome! I'm so excited! I've never been to Rome or anywhere in Italy so I just can't wait to see what it will be like. If you've been please let me know what we definitely shouldn't miss.

I'm looking forward to lots of delicious food, wine and long walks through such an iconic historical city.

Besides Rosaria I've had the pleasure of featuring so many other inspiring and stylish ladies. To see my entire series you can view my Blogger What's in my Bag Pinterest board here...

Blogger What's in my Bag: Ella of Ella Et Cetera

Hello Wednesday!

It's blogger What's in my Bag day, hooray! This week's illustration features the very stylish and sophisticated teen blogger Ella of Ella et Cetera. I first meet Ella in internetland in 2012 when her super cute bedroom which featured a few of my EmmaKisstina prints was featured by TeenVogue. You can see the feature here... It's always so exciting to see my prints in your homes. It makes me so happy to see how and where you choose to display your new artwork. (p.s. if you'd like to show me your prints in your home you can use #emmakisstina on Instagram... I even share a few on my website.)

May I just say that I adore this black, white, red, peach, gold, and blue color scheme.... oh and the Mansur Gavriel bucket bag is so dreamy!

Blogger What's in my Bag: Alex of Beautyosaurus Lex

Hello Wednesday!

I've got another sneaky blogger What's in my Bag illustration to show off with you today. I find them so much fun to create that having to wait a week in between them just seems far too long sometimes.

This week I had the pleasure of drawing beauty/lifestyle blogger/YouTuber Alex of Beautyosaurus Lex favorite bag items. I think Alex is just darling, and has such happy fun preppy style that I knew it would make a lovely illustration. (Am I right?) I adore her videos and find that I can relate to her even with our different styles and age difference. She's also hilarious! Visit her Beautyosaurus Lex channel here.

Have I mentioned before that I'm such a YouTube lover. I've subscribed to countless funny, talented and beautiful girls and I adore listening to them chat away about makeup and other random things as I create my EmmaKisstina illustrations all day long. I'd love to feature more vloggers in this series. Who would you like to see?

Besides Alex I've had the pleasure of featuring so many other inspiring and stylish ladies. To see my entire series you can view my Blogger What's in my Bag Pinterest board here...

And if you're interested in having one commissioned for yourself or a friend you can purchase this Custom What's in my Bag illustration in my Etsy shop here...

Blogger What's in my Bag: Flora of The Accidental Londoner

Hello Wednesday!

Can you see something very different about today's Blogger What's in my Bag featuring Flora of The Accidental Londoner? Besides there not being a lick of pink anywhere to be seen there are also no beauty products featured... not even a lip balm. Fun change don't you think?! Lipsticks and jewels are traded for coffee shop reward cards, Penguin Classics and lots of note taking. All of the essentials for playing tourist in your own city.

If you are planning a trip to London, or you're just an Anglophile you definitely must give Flora's blog a visit. I've been to London 3 times. The first time I visited I didn't quite like the city, but on return visits it's grown on me more and more. Can't wait to visit for a fourth time!

Besides Flora I've had the pleasure of featuring so many other inspiring and stylish ladies. To see my entire series you can view my Blogger What's in my Bag Pinterest board here...

Current EmmaKisstina Products

Hello Monday!

I've got another video to show off today! This time I thought it would be fun to film the current EmmaKisstina products I have in shop so you can hear my thoughts and get a little closer look at sizing that may not come across as easily in photos. This is hopefully the first video in a series because I plan on adding lots of new products in the next coming months. At the end of the film I also chat about projects I'm working on producing and ask for your opinions. I'd love to hear what you'd like to see from EmmaKisstina in the future!

Talking to no one but my phone strapped to a lamp is still quite awkward and I noticed afterward that I talk sooo slow in this one but I'm still of course learning. Self promotion is not my strong suit either, I always feel strange talking about my work, even in my room along. At least I gave it a go! (Promise I'll get better at this too)

Thanks for watching! You can subscribe to my YouTube channel here if you'd like :)

Hello Wednesday!

Today's Blogger What's in my bag (or What's in my Gym bag rather) features the inspiring fitness blogger Evann Clingan. A nice fun change getting to draw sneakers and sports bras instead high heels and other fashion accessories.

I'm one of those weirdos who actually enjoys working out. I love going to classes at my local gym and getting really sweaty. I especially adore the feeling after, so much extra energy and so proud of myself for getting it done. Do you like fitness?

Client Projects: Fashion Ads

Hello Monday!

Today I wanted to show you another sort of custom illustration project that I work on. Besides drawing your favorite perfume, your new blog header or what's in your bag, I also have drawn favorite fashion ads. I've gotten several requests from clients to illustrate their favorite fashion ads, because they love them so much but want them much bigger to frame as a statement piece on their wall. I think this sort of project is really fun, because I get to copy an amazing photo but still make it my own. Here are a couple of examples that I have previously created for clients featuring a Moschino perfume ad and a Chanel lipstick ad.
